Potato pancakes

Ingredients

1 ⅓ package (490g) of Champêtre Parisian potatoes
1 small yellow onion
A pinch of salt
45 ml (3 tbsp.) of flour
1 egg
30 ml (2 tbsp.) of vegetable oil

Steps

  1. Drain the Parisian potatoes well.
  2. Grate the potatoes and onion into a bowl.
  3. Add salt, flour and egg.
  4. Mix everything with your hands until you get a smooth paste.
  5. Take 2 tablespoons of batter and form a pancake with your hands. Repeat for the entire amount of mixture.
  6. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat and cook 2 to 4 pancakes at a time.
  7. Cook until both sides are golden brown (3-4 minutes per side). Place them on an absorbent paper.
  8. Serve hot. You can eat them with a sweet or savory dip, depending on your taste.
